About the role
This role sits within the Intermediaries team at a wealth management bank in Singapore. You will own account administration, documentation and daily operational tasks, working closely with Relationship Managers and interacting directly with clients. It suits someone with prior Assistant Relationship Manager experience who is organised, client-focused and comfortable handling complex banking relationships.
What you'll do
Handle operational account management professionally and clear system alerts where possible
Support the Relationship Manager and team in client interactions with quality, precision and timely responses
Interact with clients independently and professionally on account management matters
Ensure client relationship documentation formalities are accurate and maintained to a high standard
Maintain client key data with the Relationship Manager so data sets stay correct
Create and provide clients with customised information, reports and statistics
Join client meetings and lead parts such as documentation, compliance or client requests where appropriate
Compile presentations and support marketing activities
Promote and service dedicated Intermediaries e-channels
Organise and follow up client meetings, including logistics and document preparation
Support the Relationship Manager in investigations and troubleshooting with cross-team collaboration
Manage internal projects affecting account relationships, solving administrative issues and keeping systems and documentation updated
Provide input proposals for improvements based on experience or observation
Conduct reviews, plan ahead and document your own work
Deputise for Relationship Managers on agreed day-to-day topics
Act as a go-to person for new Assistant Relationship Managers and help with induction and knowledge sharing
Adhere to compliance, legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations and policies
Act as first line of risk defence by raising concerns, following up and escalating when needed
Demonstrate values including honesty, integrity, due care, fair dealing, conflict management and continuous development

Full-time position based in Singapore
Internal ARM training programme completion is required
Regulatory certifications may be applicable
Requirements
Relevant work experience as Assistant Relationship Manager or 3 years as ARM with a job-related high degree (e.g. Bachelor, CFA or similar), excluding apprenticeship
Successful completion of internal ARM training programme
Proven track record servicing banking clients with complex needs, including onboarding and maintaining relationships
Advanced knowledge of financial markets structure, function and legal/regulatory environment
Sound affinity with the geographic market(s) covered
Advanced understanding of relevant products and services for EAM clients plus valuation principles
