Lead a forward-deployed full-stack engineering team embedded in a defence-sector digital transformation initiative. Own end-to-end technical delivery, set technical direction with product and stakeholder counterparts, and ensure security, reliability and compliance across frontend, backend and data layers. Balance feature delivery with operational stability, including tech-debt reduction, incident response and production support. Manage the full people-management cycle, including 1:1s, performance feedback, growth planning and hiring. Act as the main point of contact between the engineering team and defence-sector stakeholders, translating mission requirements into engineering priorities and removing delivery blockers. Establish engineering quality standards suitable for a mission-critical, security-conscious environment.
