Engineering Maintenance Manager

About the role

Assist the Manager in supervising a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers to respond to, investigate and manage emergency track incidents. Manage and deploy manpower for the emergency team, and oversee daily maintenance control and recovery operations. Prepare weekly activation and monthly man-hour reports, and plan calibration and inspection of tools and equipment. Plan and execute monthly and ad-hoc noise measurements island-wide, and audit staff using the Behaviour Based Safety Observation Data Sheet. Conduct yearly staff performance appraisals and work with the train and control operations centre to refine crisis and contingency plans. This role requires working permanent night shift.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• At least 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a railway environment
• Able to work permanent night shift
• Supervisory skills and able to work independently
• Clear verbal communication and instruction
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
