Executive Quantity Surveyor, M&E

About the role

Handle pre- and post-contract quantity surveying for mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects, covering cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, variation orders, valuations and payment evaluations. Review design briefs, contractor proposals and engineering drawings, and prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs and cost analyses for MEP works. Work closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors so projects are completed efficiently, within budget and in line with building regulations. Attend site and consultant meetings to coordinate on MEP matters, manage subcontractor works, and carry out repair and maintenance cost analysis. Support and advise on M&E services and consultancy work while maintaining good stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognised university (Building or Quantity Surveying degree with M&E building services knowledge may also be considered)
• 4–5 years postgraduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimation, tendering, and pre/post-contract administration of mechanical or electrical disciplines
• Responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Good communication and written skills in English
