About the role

Design, build and optimise scalable data solutions on Alibaba Cloud big data platforms such as MaxCompute and Hologres. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform and load large-scale data into a centralised data warehouse. Manage and tune the data warehouse, applying data modelling best practices and data quality checks. Work with data analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions, and guide junior engineers on best practices. Ensure documentation and compliance with data governance, security and privacy standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT or related field
5+ years in data engineering
Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud, especially Hologres, MaxCompute and DataWorks
Proficiency in big data technologies such as Flink, and strong SQL, Python or Spark skills
Able to work independently and lead technical efforts
Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
