Senior/Manager, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

About the role

You will lead a team in the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic (MEE) department, providing engineering solutions and defect investigations for trains, engineering trains and plant equipment. You will conduct and coach the team in troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending and condition monitoring analytics. You will also develop work instructions, test parameters and test jigs to enhance workshop repair and overhaul capabilities. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high system reliability and availability. You may be required to work in rotating or fixed shifts at any SMRT maintenance depot or facility.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years' working experience in managerial positions in a maintenance organization
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods such as FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis and Damage Tolerance Analysis
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Fluent in written and oral English
