About the role

Visa's Global Corporate Development and Ventures team is hiring a senior leader for the Asia Pacific region. The role works closely with business owners and executive leadership to shape and execute inorganic growth strategy, including mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments, and reports to the Vice President, Global Corporate Development while based in Singapore. It suits an experienced deal professional who can originate opportunities and steer transactions end to end.

What you'll do

Proactively originate acquisition and investment opportunities across Asia Pacific, building a pipeline through relationships with founders, investors, bankers and industry leaders
Help shape inorganic growth strategy by spotting industry trends, assessing emerging businesses and technologies, and working with regional and global leaders to prioritise opportunities

Lead evaluation, negotiation, structuring and execution of M&A transactions and strategic investments across Visa's Asia Pacific businesses

Partner cross-functionally with product, strategy, technology, finance, legal and business teams to assess opportunities, align stakeholders and drive deals from origination through execution and integration planning

Carry out strategic, financial and valuation analysis, lead cross-functional diligence and develop recommendations for senior management and executive leadership

Travel as required for the role

Travel expected, anticipated at up to 25%

Requirements

At least 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10 years with an advanced degree such as a Masters, MBA, JD or MD, or 5 years with a PhD
Strong financial acumen with financial modelling, valuation and synergy analysis experience
Experience overseeing all aspects of a deal, from idea generation to due diligence and negotiations
Willing and able to travel for projects, anticipated at up to 25%
Proven track record leading M&A transactions and strategic investments in corporate development, investment banking or private equity
Strong understanding of the payments, fintech or tech sectors, with both U.S. and international experience
