About the role

A nursing role in the Cardio Vascular Lab at JurongHealth Campus, working with a cardiologist and the wider care team to support patients through cardiac procedures and recovery. Open to both full-time and part-time arrangements, and suited to registered nurses who stay calm under pressure and work well alongside others.

What you'll do

Coordinate patient care needs with team members and the cardiologist
Assist the cardiologist with instruments, needles, swabs, catheters, balloons, stents and other devices, anticipating what is needed
Set up the procedure room before each case with the right equipment, supplies, consumables and infusions
Carry out daily checks on critical equipment to confirm it works properly
Handle and operate patient equipment competently
Make sure surgical instruments, equipment and consumables are used safely and correctly during procedures
Observe and enforce strict infection control standards
Respond effectively to emergency clinical situations and call for available help when needed
Monitor patients and give appropriate care until they recover from anaesthesia
Perform ongoing patient assessment, monitoring and EMR documentation, checking dressings, sheath in-situ, drains and any infusions or drugs in progress
Move patients after a suitable period of recovery and observation in the recovery room
Take on after-hours on-call duty

Requirements

Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or a State Registered Nurse Certificate
Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent preferred for the Senior Staff Nurse position
Able to perform after-hours on-call duty
