About the role
This role sits with a Family Service Centre team in Admiralty, where you will co-lead multi-disciplinary groups doing casework, group work and community programmes alongside partners and stakeholders. You will also provide practice supervision to junior social workers and support senior colleagues in raising professional standards. It suits an experienced, registered social worker who stays composed under pressure and enjoys a busy environment.
What you'll do
- Carry out risk and needs assessments using approved tools and frameworks, drawing together information from different sources
- Prepare, review and endorse social reports
- Lead multi-disciplinary case conferences and guide junior workers running similar conferences
- Apply organisational frameworks to holistic assessment covering resilience capacity and risk
- Use structured case conceptualisation and assessment to arrive at intervention plans
- Supervise the facilitation of groupwork interventions
- Evaluate how effective and relevant groupwork interventions are
- Demonstrate and defend professional practice with key stakeholders in line with the organisation's vision, mission and sector standards
- Lead implementation of standards of care, health policies, procedures and programmes
- Review service delivery models against evidence-based practice
- Design, implement and evaluate community outreach and development initiatives by mobilising community resources, other social service providers and volunteers
- Supervise junior social workers and take part in ongoing personal development, following organisational supervision practice
Good to know
- Full-time position based in Singapore
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Graduate Diploma or Master in Social Work from an accredited institution
- At least 5 years of direct post-qualification social work experience, especially casework and counselling
- Experience providing case and clinical supervision to social or case workers
- Experience handling high-risk family violence cases
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to stay calm under pressure or tension
