About the role
This role supports the Asia R&D function as a finance business partner, working alongside senior R&D and Finance leaders to guide strategic and financial decisions. You will be part of the wider Translational & Development Sciences Finance organisation, gaining exposure to investment, resourcing and performance discussions. It suits someone with a finance partnering or FP&A background who enjoys influencing senior stakeholders and turning analysis into insight.
What you'll do
Partner with Asia R&D leaders on strategic priorities, operating plans and resource allocation, providing financial insight and challenge
Build partnerships across Finance, R&D, Portfolio Management and other functions to support aligned decision-making
Support financial evaluation of investment proposals, business cases and strategic initiatives, clarifying assumptions, risks and trade-offs
Lead budgeting and forecasting so plans reflect business strategies, risks and opportunities
Monitor performance against plans and forecasts, identifying variances, trends and drivers
Give stakeholders forward-looking insight on financial performance, resource utilisation and outlook
Work with the broader TDS Finance team on consolidated financial reviews, analysis and insights
Ensure integrity, accuracy and transparency of forecasts, reporting and financial analysis
Maintain compliance with GSK financial controls, governance requirements and Finance Ways of Working
Support continuous improvement across planning, forecasting, reporting and analytical processes, using digital, analytical and automation tools

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience in finance business partnering, financial planning and analysis, or similar finance roles
Experience supporting business decisions through financial analysis, scenario modelling and insight generation
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Familiarity with financial systems, reporting processes and planning tools such as SAP, CERPS, SAC or equivalent
Finance partnering experience in R&D (preferred)
