About the role
You will join the shift operations team at Kranji Water Reclamation Plant, helping to treat used water so it is suitable for NEWater production and safe discharge to the sea. The role suits engineering diploma holders, including fresh graduates, who are comfortable working in a used water environment and doing site work.
What you'll do
Support the Shift Leader in monitoring and controlling plant operations, including chemical dosing, electrical and mechanical equipment, and auxiliaries, safely.
Supervise contractors' workers on treatment processes, auxiliary equipment operation and safety compliance.
Respond to abnormalities and follow SOPs when needed.
Record process and equipment readings, perform site checks and troubleshoot minor equipment faults.
Carry out regular site checks of equipment and plant conditions and keep relevant operating records.
Carry out sampling and testing of process parameters to ensure output meets the required quality.
Report all equipment breakdowns during the shift in the daily fault report file.
Attend to alarms detected within the plant.
Handle any other duties assigned.
Good to know
You will work 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, with scheduled off/rest days.
Work location is Kranji Water Reclamation Plant.
Requirements
Diploma in an engineering discipline (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or related)
Fresh graduates welcome
Able to work independently and as a good team player
Comfortable working in a used water environment and physically able to perform site work
Willing to work 3 rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
