About the role
This role supports the rail, road tunnel and bus infrastructure teams with mechanical engineering design and technical work. You will help maintain engineering standards and provide technical support to stakeholders. It suits mechanical engineering graduates or experienced engineers keen on large-scale transport infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Maintain engineering standards, design criteria, performance specifications and technical requirements for air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems
- Maintain standards for fire protection systems, plumbing, sanitary and water services
- Maintain standards for tunnel ventilation systems, lifts and escalators
- Prepare and evaluate tenders
- Review design submissions from consultants and contractors
- Supervise site work
- Carry out testing and commissioning
- Conduct technical studies and investigations
- Carry out technological research
Good to know
- Candidates without working experience are welcome to apply
- Senior Engineer requires at least 5 years of experience in design and supervision of the stated mechanical systems/services
- Executive Engineer requires at least 2 years of experience in design and supervision of the stated mechanical systems/services
- Shortlisted candidates may need to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment
Requirements
- Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering
- Senior Engineer: at least 5 years of experience in design and supervision of mechanical systems/services
- Executive Engineer: at least 2 years of experience in design and supervision of mechanical systems/services
- Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
