About the role

This role supports production control at an aerospace engine component repair facility in Singapore, keeping repair work flowing smoothly through the shop. You will coordinate schedules, track work in progress and move parts between stations so customer commitments are met. It suits someone with shop-floor experience in Vanes, Blades or Large Component work who is organised and comfortable coordinating across teams.

What you'll do

Prepare production schedules for your assigned areas
Schedule and assign work to team members in those areas
Make sure work moves from station to station on time during each shift
Work with the Scheduler to set priorities when schedules clash
Use the production control system to keep work-in-progress status accurate and current
Move parts to and from Traffic, including to and from farm-out vendors
Coordinate with Engineers and Facilitators on how parts are dispositioned
Keep records that reflect ongoing WIP inventory of customer hardware and update production boards promptly
Expedite rework parts and clear non-conformances
Help Engineers coordinate workflow when new repairs are industrialised
Flag gaps or issues in daily production matters
Prepare documentation for inducting customer parts, including Large Components, into the shop
Follow all EHS rules and regulations
Take part in accident, injury and illness prevention activities where applicable
Join or lead LEAN activities
Comply with the employee innovation and proprietary information agreement, GE Code of Conduct and GE Integrity expectations

Good to know

Full-time role based in Singapore
Daily contact with Facilitators on work schedules, Engineers on part disposition, the Met. Lab on process results as needed, and the Scheduler on job priorities
No relocation assistance provided

Requirements

GCE 'O' Level or equivalent
Able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and standard operating procedures in English
Experience working in Vanes, Blades or Large Component departments
