Assistant Director

About the role

You will be a key member of the Corporate Development team, working closely with the Chief Communications Officer to advance communications, brand and reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships. You will lead integrated communications strategies, including proactive media engagement, digital and social media communications, and reputation management. You will partner with senior leadership and provide strategic communications counsel, translating organisational priorities into clear narratives for internal and external stakeholders. You will oversee internal communications to strengthen staff engagement and coordinate strategic collaborations such as hosting delegations and managing corporate and philanthropic partnerships. You will also provide leadership and mentorship to team members and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within healthcare organisations
• At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role, with proven experience managing communications teams
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on experience in media relations, leadership communications, and issues management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
