About the role
This role sits within the Premise Management Team based at East Coast Integrated Depot. You will act as the first point of contact for operational issues and keep building facilities and systems running smoothly. It suits someone with a technical or facilities background who is comfortable leading contractors and working rotational shifts.
What you'll do
Act as first responder to all operational issues
Carry out basic handyman repairs within the premises
Manage maintenance of building facilities services including electrical, mechanical and facilities equipment
Supervise and lead maintenance and system takeover activities
Ensure work by staff and contractors is done safely
Ensure all work follows Work Instructions
Oversee building and facility services, system operations and maintenance programmes
Run preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
Handle minor repair and rectification work on buildings or equipment
Troubleshoot operational and maintenance problems for facilities equipment and building services systems
Inspect building equipment regularly and check serviceability
Conduct regular preventive maintenance on building equipment and services
Liaise with OEM and system contractors for building services
Work towards effective, economical and safe operation of all building services
Provide feasible solutions and coordinate with owners, users, consultants and vendors on engineering requirements
Liaise with stakeholders on maintenance programmes to minimise disruption to their operations
Supervise and audit subcontractors on equipment maintenance and rectification
Help source competitive vendors or suppliers for facility maintenance and repair work
Report incidents, call-ins and major maintenance activities daily
Maintain and update documentation for facilities-related work orders
Track system performance and liaise with production and system engineers to minimise equipment downtime
Prepare and submit monthly facilities maintenance and repair reports
Train technicians, technical officers and junior staff as needed
Carry out tasks assigned by the superior

Night, weekend and/or public holiday work may be required
May be redeployed to other facilities or projects based on organisational needs
Requirements
Diploma in Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, Building Services or Facilities Management with up to 3 years of relevant experience, OR Higher NITEC/NITEC in the same fields with more than 4 years of relevant experience
Able to lead and supervise a team
Self-motivated, resourceful, organised, independent with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to communicate effectively and work as a good team player
Able to read simple electrical circuitry and engineering drawings
Able to perform repair work at height using a ladder and/or scaffold
