About the role
This role sits within the Facilities Maintenance Team based at Woodlands RTS CIQ, supporting the upkeep of building services and facilities equipment. It suits someone with a technical or engineering background who is comfortable working hands-on, handling breakdowns, and rotating across shifts. You will be a key point of contact for operational issues and will work closely with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
What you'll do
Act as first line of response for operational issues and breakdown fault cases
Mobilise on site for breakdowns that occur after office hours or on weekends
Carry out hands-on maintenance on building facilities services, including electrical, mechanical and facilities equipment
Supervise and lead maintenance and system takeover activities
Ensure work by personnel and contractors is done safely
Ensure all works follow Work Instructions
Perform or manage minor repair and rectification work on buildings or equipment
Troubleshoot operational and maintenance problems for facilities equipment and building services systems
Support the Engineer with engineering analysis or root cause analysis on underperforming equipment
Prepare and submit incident reports promptly
Coordinate with QP and internal or external stakeholders on Fire Certification activities
Track systems licence renewals
Inspect existing building equipment and assess serviceability
Run regular preventive maintenance programmes for building equipment and services
Liaise with OEM or system contractors for building services
Work towards effective, economical and safe operations of all building services
Liaise with stakeholders on maintenance programmes to minimise disruption to their operations
Report incidents, call-ins and major maintenance activities daily
Maintain and update documentation for facilities-related work orders
Prepare and submit monthly facilities maintenance or repair reports (for senior appointment)
Provide training to technicians, technical officers and junior staff as needed (for senior appointment)
Carry out any other tasks assigned by the superior

Work on a rotation of 3 shifts
May be redeployed to other facilities or projects based on organisational needs
May be required to perform Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) duties based on operational needs and emergency plans
Requirements
Diploma in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services or Facilities Management with up to 3 years of relevant experience, or Higher NITEC / NITEC in a relevant field with more than 4 years of relevant experience
Able to lead and supervise a team (for senior appointment)
Self-motivated, resourceful, organised, independent and strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to communicate effectively and be a good team player
Able to read simple electrical circuitry and engineering drawings
Able to perform maintenance work at height using a ladder or scaffold
