Assistant Manager, Estate Management

About the role

You will manage and maintain State properties, including handing over and taking over properties, conducting maintenance inspections, and implementing corrective and preventive works. You will liaise with and supervise term contractors such as vector control, grass-cutting, and cleaning to ensure contractual obligations are met. You will also assess costings, prepare tender documents, and oversee design and construction work from start to completion. Additionally, you will attend to public feedback and incidents, propose preventive measures, and manage appointed agents for vacant land and buildings.

Requirements

• Background in Facilities/Estates/Environmental Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical background with knowledge of pre and post-contract duties and contract administration
• Tech savvy and ability to think out-of-the-box
• May be required to work at offshore islands from time to time
