The appointee will conduct high-quality research in microbiology relating to the microbiome or microbial bioinformatics within the Microbiome Medicine Research Programme. They will obtain research funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and supervise research staff and students. The role includes teaching medical and postgraduate students, contributing to the MBBS curriculum, and integrating microbiology science into teaching. The appointee will also develop interdisciplinary research projects, mentor junior faculty, and participate in academic committees.
