About the role

You will be the main contact point for patients, their next of kin, and internal colleagues at a hospital's Pearl Liaison Centre. The role involves coordinating appointments, admissions, and general liaison services so that each patient's journey runs smoothly. It suits someone with frontline or customer-facing experience who stays calm under pressure and enjoys helping people.

What you'll do

Handle enquiries from private patients and both internal and external stakeholders
Arrange appointments that fit patients' requests while following clinical and operational rules
Organise admissions and serve as the go-to contact for patients, doctors, and colleagues
Use active listening and questioning to understand what patients and their families need

Communicate clearly with patients and next of kin when answering queries and requests

Take part in initiatives that deliver extra-mile service

Manage complaints and difficult situations tactfully, applying service recovery where needed

Coordinate appointments with hospital stakeholders and accompany VIP or VVIP patients

Support direct admissions and air evacuation cases

Keep patient information accurate and up to date

Take turns on 24/7 on-call duty

Spot service gaps and raise them to supervisors

Suggest and run improvement projects to boost productivity and patient care

Help compile operational and management reports and statistics

Build teamwork and good working relationships within the hospital

File, store, and dispose of documents and data according to hospital policy

Carry out any other duties assigned

You will be on rotation for 24/7 on-call duties

Requirements

O or A Levels to Diploma
At least 3-4 years of experience in healthcare or a service-related industry, especially frontline or customer-facing roles
Shows service excellence and professionalism with patients, next of kin, and tasks
Understands and follows ethical and professional standards in healthcare
Meticulous with good organisational and coordination skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
