You will be responsible for radiation safety in the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine departments, and will contribute to the Radiation Response Team, act as Radiation Safety Officer, and serve on the Radiation Safety Committee. You will implement the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programme for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, including the radiopharmacy laboratory, radiation safety and waste policies, audits and inspections. Duties include daily QC checks, overseeing imaging equipment maintenance with Biomedical Engineering, using QA test tools for first-line fault checks, assisting in staff dose management, investigating NEA reports, training new staff on radiation protection devices, and conducting lectures on radiation physics and protection. You will also manage annual test reports for radiation protection apparel, calculate patient absorbed doses, respond to radiation risk queries, and provide scientific support and participate in research.
