About the role
You will be part of the hotels team at Conrad Singapore Orchard, helping guests from the moment they arrive. The role suits someone who enjoys brightening people's days and working closely with front office, concierge and other departments to meet guest needs quickly and professionally.
What you'll do
Report for duty on time in full uniform, keeping a smart and friendly appearance and a positive, alert attitude
Handle all luggage for arrivals, departures and storage, treating every item with care
Tag arrival luggage and deliver it to guest rooms as quickly as possible and with care
Give in-room orientation to guests when needed
Handle guest room changes following set procedures
Help departing guests with luggage and transport arrangements
Know the different storage types and keep proper records for items held short term, long term or refrigerated
Manage group arrivals and departures following set procedures
Run errands for guests and the concierge when required
Keep the front lobby, front entrance and luggage storage areas clean at all times
Address guests by name and remember repeat guests' preferences
Project friendliness and professionalism, always ready to give personalised service
Work closely with front office, car valets and doormen so guests requesting bell services are always helped
Keep the bell captain, guest services manager and concierge informed of any guest complaints or special requests
Stay alert and report any defects in guestrooms, guest floors and lobby areas to the right department
Help guests arrange taxis and limousines
Take proper care when moving trolleys around the hotel
Respond swiftly and appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation
Contribute to the hotel experience by keeping the main lobby entrance manned and greeting all passing guests warmly
Assist at the driveway when needed during busy periods to keep traffic flowing
Be fully familiar with core standards for the department
Know hotel services, outlet operating hours and special events, and give directions and general information to guests
Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisors from time to time

Requirements
Good written and spoken English for daily operations and guest service
Shows initiative, accountability and can work alone or in a team
Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred
Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
Committed to workplace safety procedures and an organised work environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with guests and colleagues
