About the role

This role sits with the Cabin Handling team at the Inflight Catering Centre, supporting the logistics and delivery of inflight meals and cabin equipment. You will train and guide newly hired staff while refreshing the knowledge of existing employees so everyone stays current with industry changes. It suits someone with strong facilitation skills who enjoys hands-on operational training.

What you'll do

Assess training needs by gathering information on work procedures, workflow and reports, and by understanding job-specific tasks
Run training classes covering job-specific, company-specific and regulatory requirements
Keep equipment operational through preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting faults, arranging repairs, tracking inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques

Evaluate and improve how effective the training programme is

Make sure training materials and programmes comply with industry laws and regulations

Prepare printed training materials and presentations for employees, subject to management approval

Create monitoring strategies to confirm employees perform duties in line with training

Record and file pre-solo assessment forms for new staff before they are deployed to Operations

Update and conduct read-and-sign sessions for safety flashes and any changes to operational, SOP or Ops manual documents

Schedule staff for in-house refresher courses and update training records

Conduct re-training and give recommendations based on re-training results

Investigate vehicular and aircraft accidents and flight delays, and provide assessment and improvement recommendations

Monitor ADP licence expiry and ensure staff sign up for renewal

Conduct cross-training for other business units or sections when required

Carry out ramp audits and ramp checks, and submit observation records

Assist and supervise during airline audits, monitor compliance with airline requirements, and prepare required documents and corrective actions for audit findings

Handle any other duties assigned by the Training Team and Section Head

Requirements

Valid Singapore Class 5 driving licence
Train-the-Trainer certification
Able to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and maintain effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
Good facilitation skills for conducting training sessions
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Able to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures and adapt local practices to industry standards
