About the role

This role sits in the Q-commerce team at foodpanda Singapore, reporting to the Lead of Category Management. You will own the sourcing and merchandising of a category within the New Verticals team, helping scale the pandamart groceries business. It suits someone entrepreneurial who can work at both tactical and strategic levels in a fast-moving setting.

What you'll do

Take full P&L responsibility for assigned categories, covering revenue, margin and other supplier income
Build and carry out category strategies that align with KPIs
Make sure pandamart offers the right range and the best market prices
Negotiate cost, funding and terms improvements with existing suppliers, secure supplier marketing and advertising spend, and keep goods flowing reliably to the fulfilment centre

Develop new sourcing and extended range so customers have quality, good-value goods all year

Use data-driven decisions to drive the category, working with marketing and supply chain to forecast demand and keep supply consistent

Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Imports, Pricing, Strategy, Finance and Marketing on strategic projects

Lead commercial initiatives independently while working with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, account or category management
Proven record of successful negotiations, influence and relationship management with internal and external parties
Able to work autonomously in a demanding and often ambiguous environment
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
Willing to contribute to wider team performance and culture
