About the role

This role supports hearing care at a community clinic, working alongside Audiologists to screen, assess and rehabilitate patients with hearing difficulties. It suits someone with a health science, electronics, engineering or biomedical background who is comfortable combining clinical duties with administrative and logistics work.

What you'll do

Carry out hearing screening and hearing tests
Perform subjective and objective hearing assessments
Conduct diagnostic assessment of patients with hearing problems
Assist Audiologists with objective tests
Provide rehabilitative services to hearing impaired patients
Triage and refer patients to ENT doctors
Communicate with patients about appointments and referrals
Help troubleshoot hearing devices
Keep daily and weekly statistics of patients seen at the audiology clinic
Handle audiology logistics such as hearing aids, ordering and repairs, stock checks, invoice verification and monitoring retail sales of hearing aid and cochlear implant accessories
Carry out other administrative duties assigned by the Manager or Director

Requirements

Diploma in Health Science, Electronics, Engineering, Biomedical or a related field
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
