About the role

ThinkChina is an English-language digital magazine published under Lianhe Zaobao, covering big reads, opinions and columns with a China focus. The team is looking for a bilingual copy editor to work on Chinese-translated articles. This role suits someone detail-oriented who enjoys current affairs and digital publishing.

What you'll do

Fact-check and refine machine-translated and human-translated articles
Ensure accuracy, clarity and alignment with editorial standards and house style
Write suitable and compelling headlines, standfirsts and sub-headings
Curate strong pull-quotes to enhance reader engagement and impact

Good to know

This is a 2-year contract, renewable based on performance and organisational needs

Requirements

Degree in a relevant discipline
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
Familiar with AI tools for workflows and content production
Creative with understanding of digital and social media trends
Strong interest in current affairs, especially China-related issues
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
