Critical Facilities Technician

About the role

You will support the safe and reliable 24/7 operation of a mission-critical data centre. Your duties include monitoring BMS, PMS and safety systems, conducting facility rounds and readings, and responding to alarms and abnormal conditions. You will perform approved preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, raise work orders, and update records in the CMMS. You will also support third-party vendors during maintenance and provide clear shift handover notes and incident updates. The role requires strict compliance with safety, electrical safety, life safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years relevant experience in critical facility operations, building services maintenance, engineering or mission-critical environment
• Hands-on knowledge of facility mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems
• Familiarity with BMS, PMS, safety systems and ability to interpret alarms and readings
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication, shift handover and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms
