Cybersecurity Strategy (Deputy Director)

About the role

Lead a team that develops and refines whole-of-government cybersecurity strategies, policies and governance frameworks. Drive strategic planning by identifying capability gaps, emerging risks and opportunities, and turn insights into actionable programmes. Oversee implementation of strategic initiatives and monitor performance indicators to drive continuous improvement. Provide strategic advice and executive support to senior leadership, and represent the organisation in cross-government and industry engagements. Mentor and develop cybersecurity professionals while building an outcomes-driven culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or Information Technology preferred
• Experience leading, managing and grooming teams of high-performing individuals
• At least 5-6 years of prior experience in civil service-related work preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Able to work independently with a persevering attitude
