About the role
This internship sits with a technology portfolio reporting function in Singapore, where you will help convert application and technology portfolio data into clear, reliable insights. You will partner with technology teams, application owners and management to keep portfolio information trustworthy and to build dashboards that inform planning, governance and decisions. It suits a detail-minded analytics student or recent graduate who enjoys data quality work and management reporting.
What you'll do
Build and upkeep management reports, dashboards and scorecards for the application and technology portfolio.
Monitor and report portfolio metrics such as total application counts and how they change over time.
Report applications grouped by business unit, domain, owner and technology.
Classify applications by criticality and business impact.
Track lifecycle status, including strategic, maintain, modernise and retire stages.
Report on End-of-Life and End-of-Support technologies.
Report the split of cloud, on-premise and SaaS applications.
Track compliance with technology standards and architecture.
Report progress on application rationalisation, consolidation and retirement.
Examine portfolio data to surface trends, gaps, risks and opportunities for management.
Set and maintain consistent KPIs, metrics and reporting definitions.
Carry out data validation and reconciliation so reported figures stay accurate and complete.
Work with application owners and stakeholders to fix missing, outdated or inconsistent portfolio information.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc management and executive-level reports.
Automate recurring reports and dashboards to cut manual reporting effort.
Turn complex datasets into clear visualisations, insights and management summaries.
Requirements
Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to interpret large datasets, spot trends and turn findings into insights
Proficient in Excel, SQL and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Experience developing management dashboards and reports
Strong attention to data accuracy, quality and consistency
