Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer III

About the role

You will support the operation, maintenance and reliability of mission-critical data center infrastructure. Duties include preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, inspections and installations across electrical, mechanical, cooling, plumbing, fire suppression and life-safety systems. You will monitor the Building Monitoring System, respond to alarms and support incident investigations. You will also coordinate vendors, maintain site documentation such as MOPs and permits, and support infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects. The role works in a collaborative team and requires hands-on tasks, working at height and in confined spaces, and non-standard hours including shifts, weekends, nights and public holidays.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Typically 1–3 years of experience in critical facilities, facilities operations, data center operations, industrial facilities, building operations or a related technical environment
• Ability to perform hands-on operational and maintenance tasks in a data center environment
• Ability to work at height and in confined or tight spaces
• Ability to work non-standard hours including shift-based schedules, weekends, night shifts and public holidays
