About the role
You will look after the facilities systems across StarHub's data centres and offices, keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly. The role suits someone with a facilities or data centre background who is comfortable with hands-on maintenance, vendor management and 24/7 standby duties. Fresh diploma holders with the right attitude are also welcome to apply.
What you'll do
Run day-to-day operations and maintenance of facilities systems including generators, UPS, DC rectifier systems, static transfer switches, fire protection, building management systems, HT/LT electrical systems and ACMV systems
Make sure routine maintenance follows the planned schedule and contracted scope
Plan, call and assess tenders, and project-manage expansion projects to meet user needs

Enforce security at data centres and offices by managing physical and electronic systems such as card access, CCTV and visitor tracking
Complete customer work orders by the requested Ready for Service date
Keep records and update M&E, building and schematic drawings for the estates under your care
Check premises regularly for safety hazards and unsafe conditions, and start corrective actions to keep the workplace safe and compliant with regulations
Handle new leases and renewals for offices, shops and technical sites, including negotiating with landlords, managing LOIs and agreements, and following up on administration
Meet regularly with business units and monitor current industry rental rates
Work with authorities to ensure leases meet their requirements
Coordinate with internal teams such as Legal, Finance and business units on changes to lease terms, rental, service fees and property tax
Manage external tenants in StarHub-owned premises, including issuing billing invoices
Ensure timely handover and takeover of premises with building owners
Carry out risk assessments and risk management
Perform 24/7 standby duties and respond to and resolve all situations
Take on any other assignments given by management

Requirements
Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications or Facilities Management
At least 2 years of work experience in facilities, ideally in a data centre environment
2 to 3 years supporting facilities operations and maintenance in a data centre is preferred
Fresh diploma graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to work in a start-up environment are welcome
Good understanding and hands-on servicing experience with facilities systems and building maintenance
Class 3 driving licence (manual gear)
