You will own the architecture of enterprise batch and real-time data platforms, set engineering standards, and mentor other engineers while working with data, AI and infrastructure teams. It suits an experienced data engineer who enjoys hands-on technical leadership and building AI-ready data products.

Architect and maintain change data capture pipelines using Debezium, Confluent or Fivetran
Design and optimise complex Airflow DAGs for end-to-end orchestration

Architect and deliver cloud-native data infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Run or equivalents
Own CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads and apply infrastructure-as-code practices such as Terraform

Implement caching strategies with Redis for low-latency, high-throughput access
Design vector database and embedding pipeline solutions for semantic search and AI knowledge bases
Build chunking, embedding generation, indexing and retrieval strategies
Create tool-ready, contextual data layers that LLMs and AI agents can query
Ensure online and offline consistency and freshness of knowledge base content
Partner with data leaders, AI teams, infrastructure and SRE teams, and business stakeholders
Translate business needs into scalable, production-ready data products
Mentor mid-level and junior data engineers and review code
