Data Product Manager, Public Service Division (PSD)

About the role

Lead strategic data-centric products that support whole-of-government policy, operational and decision-making outcomes. Own the end-to-end success of products where data is the primary value driver, such as enterprise data platforms, authoritative datasets and shared analytics products. Work closely with senior stakeholders across agencies to shape product vision, prioritise outcomes, and ensure delivery is sustainable, secure and fit for purpose. This is a product manager role requiring strong product leadership and sufficient data literacy to lead confidently in complex, cross-agency environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data product management, including product strategy, roadmap ownership and outcome delivery
• Strong ability to manage senior stakeholders and operate in complex, multi-party environments
• Experience articulating product value, risks and trade-offs to governance or leadership forums
• Good understanding of modern data platforms and architectures
• Working knowledge of data governance concepts such as data quality, access control and lineage
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, data and security professionals
