About the role

This role sits within the Sellers & Fintech Partnerships team, which handles strategic partnerships, alliances and commercial deals. The fintech partnerships team collaborates with Visa's Product and Solutions teams to build a new client base of issuing and acquiring platforms plus other service providers across Asia Pacific. It suits a recognised fintech and payments specialist with deep market knowledge, strong industry connections and a track record of creating new business.

What you'll do

Own and manage key fintech and digital asset client relationships, keeping them aligned with regional and global priorities and finding ways to deepen partnerships and speed up growth
Identify, develop and execute high-impact partnerships across fintechs, digital banks, payment service providers, embedded finance platforms and emerging ecosystem participants

Build business development and hunting capabilities to spot new opportunities and emerging business models

Use industry relationships and ecosystem intelligence to find opportunities before they become mainstream

Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, accelerators and ecosystem influencers

Work with partners to understand customer needs, business models, customer journeys and growth objectives

Translate strategic opportunities into scalable payment and commerce solutions using Visa's capabilities

Act as a solution integrator, bringing together internal products, services and partners to meet client needs

Advise internal stakeholders on emerging fintech trends, technologies and ecosystem developments

Lead complex partnership opportunities from origination through negotiation, contracting, launch and revenue realisation

Build business cases, commercial models and partnership strategies that drive measurable outcomes

Manage a portfolio of fintech relationships to deliver commercial growth and revenue objectives

Drive adoption of Visa products and services through partner channels and ecosystem distribution models

Good to know

At least 3 days in office required, with exact days confirmed by the Hiring Manager
Primary market focus is Singapore, with possible support for selected Asia Pacific opportunities
Preference for candidates with prior experience in a global payments organisation, scheme network, fintech or related financial institution

Requirements

10+ years of experience in fintech, payments, partnerships, business development, product commercialisation or related commercial roles
Deep knowledge of the Singapore fintech ecosystem and broader Asia Pacific market developments
Proficient in commercial deal modelling and deal negotiation, with a proven track record of planning, managing and closing complex deals and a focus on results-driven execution
Strong understanding of payments, issuing, acquiring, digital wallets, embedded finance, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), account-to-account payments and money movement solutions
Working knowledge of emerging technologies and payment trends including stablecoins, tokenisation, CBDCs, digital assets and programmable payments
Ability to assess customer journeys, identify commercial opportunities and translate client needs into scalable payment solutions
