About the role
This role sits within the distribution team of a life and health insurer, supporting financial advisory and broker channels. You will help keep downstream processes running smoothly and maintain governance over business quality from the FA channel. It suits someone with solid insurance operations experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable working with partners and internal IT teams.
What you'll do
Provide distribution support to IFA, High Net Worth Broker and Bermuda Branch channels
Handle on and off boarding of distribution partners, including preparing distribution agreements, commission schedules and due diligence
Create and terminate agent codes, and set up and maintain distributor access rights under agreed SOPs
Tag correct products for distribution and process servicing adviser change requests
Ensure accuracy of regulatory compliance checklists relating to IFAs, including annual risk-based due diligence
Track and process commission and distribution-related campaign payments
Generate monthly commission and incentive tracking reports within set timelines
Obtain necessary approvals before sending items to internal parties for processing
Produce adviser incentive reports and conduct quarterly verification of adviser conduct with partners before incentive payment
Manage UAT and IT-related matters for the distribution team, including raising IT incident tickets and representing the department in defect meetings
Perform distribution-related UAT for product launches, enhancements and ad-hoc projects such as customer portal and eIRIS
Identify testing areas for product launches and change requests, including input for test scripts and scenarios
Lead post internal audit controls, including creation, deletion and maintenance of SOPs, and drive implementation of new processes
Act as key contact for queries from partner firm administrators
Identify gaps and champion SOP improvements to provide better service to customers and advisors
Maintain communication within the distribution team and with external parties including FA partners
Provide feedback, improvements and resolutions, escalating to subject matter experts when needed
Support ad hoc engagement events and client seminars

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
6 to 8 years of relevant experience
Good understanding of life insurance operations in FA or insurance broker environment
Understanding of life insurance operations in IFA, bancassurance or tied-agency environment
Strong understanding of insurance operations across different functions
Strong administrative track record with high accuracy and self-starter attitude
