About the role

The Business Times, a business daily under SPH Media, is hiring an Editor for its Audience Lab to lead audience growth and innovation. You will work with editorial, social, visuals, video, podcast and data teams to build strategies that expand reach, engagement and loyalty. This suits someone strategic yet hands-on who understands quality journalism and digital audience behaviour.

What you'll do

Develop and execute an audience and digital strategy across platforms and channels, setting priorities, processes and measurement frameworks.
Lead and manage multimedia, optimisation and amplification teams covering digital strategy, social media, video, audio and visualisation.
Align team efforts to maximise reach, engagement and impact of BT's journalism.

Identify opportunities to grow reach among existing and new audiences in Singapore and internationally.

Use audience data and insights to inform editorial planning, content formats and new initiatives.

Drive a culture of testing and continuous improvement, experimenting with stakeholders and scaling successful strategies.

Bring a strong audience perspective into the newsroom and build a stronger audience culture within BT.

Ensure data and insights inform decisions about coverage, journalism shaping and audience reach.

Requirements

At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in audience development, digital publishing, journalism, content strategy, growth or a related field
Strong interest in business, financial markets, economics and issues shaping Singapore and regional markets
Proven experience developing and executing audience growth strategies in a media, publishing or content organisation
Strong understanding of digital audience behaviour and the media landscape across search, social, newsletters and emerging platforms
Demonstrated ability to use audience data and analytics to inform editorial and business decisions
Experience working closely with editors, journalists and cross-functional teams in a newsroom or content environment
