Editor, Publications and Interpretation

About the role

You will develop and maintain editorial standards for the ArtScience Museum and Attractions across print, digital and public programmes. You will lead editorial work for publications, brochures, essays and guides, working with curators, artists, writers, designers and translators from concept to final proof. You will create and manage website and digital content, ensuring it is accurate, accessible and aligned with brand and ticketing needs. You will also develop bilingual English and Mandarin content, reviewing translations and ensuring cultural appropriateness. The role involves working with multiple stakeholders and may require evenings and weekends when necessary.

Requirements

• Degree in English, Literature, Art History, Museum Studies, Publishing, Journalism, Communications, Translation, Chinese Studies or related field
• At least 4 years' experience in editing, publishing, museum interpretation, cultural communications, journalism, copywriting, translation or related editorial work
• Native-level English writing, editing and proofreading ability
• Professional Mandarin proficiency, including reviewing and editing Mandarin translations
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
