About the role
This role supports environmental, health and safety programmes at GE Aerospace's Singapore site, working alongside manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and site support teams. It suits someone with solid technical EHS knowledge who can influence colleagues at every level and drive practical improvements. The position is based at the company's engine component maintenance, repair and overhaul facility.
What you'll do
Lead and support site EHS programmes to meet business, regulatory and customer expectations
Work with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and support teams to spot hazards and put risk reduction measures in place
Create, refine and maintain standard work for key EHS processes
Carry out risk assessments, job hazard analyses, ergonomic evaluations, audits, inspections and compliance reviews

Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and confirm the controls are working
Use daily and visual management so teams can see targets, track progress and address issues when off plan
Apply FLIGHT DECK tools such as SQDIP performance measures, TAGS gap analysis, and action tracking with owners and due dates
Track site EHS metrics, spot trends and report results, risks and priorities to site leadership
Help the site comply with applicable legal, permit and company EHS requirements
Assist with environmental programmes such as hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management and related reporting
Support programmes including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, fall protection, confined space, contractor safety, ergonomics and hazard communication
Deliver or coordinate EHS training for employees, leaders and contractors
Take part in emergency preparedness planning, drills and response coordination
Work with frontline teams at genba to surface problems, remove barriers and solve issues in real time
Contribute to kaizen and continuous improvement efforts that lift EHS performance and employee engagement

Site is the company's largest engine component maintenance, repair and overhaul facility, handling over 60% of global repair volume
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a related field from an accredited university
At least 5 years of experience in EHS, manufacturing, industrial operations or a related technical field
Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and with SCDF as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM)
Strong knowledge of Singapore's WSH legislation and compliance requirements
Experience with incident investigation, structured problem solving and corrective action management
Able to work in a team-based environment with performance measured through regular operating cadences and visual management
