Engineering Manager, GDT

About the role

Lead one or more cross-functional agile squads made up of engineers, product managers and designers to gather business requirements and deliver technical solutions. Drive the technical design and architecture of software systems, ensuring security, scalability, performance and maintainability. Mentor and coach your team to raise product engineering standards, and set coding standards, best practices and development processes. Identify and resolve technical debt and risks while balancing feature delivery, and guide Scrum ceremonies to remove blockers. Work with modern full-stack technologies, cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines to build systems for the public good.

Requirements

• 7-12 years of software engineering experience building large high-availability systems at scale
• Proven track record of leading and delivering technically complex products
• Strong experience in modern full-stack web application technologies
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Next.js, React.js, Nuxt or Vue.js
• Experience with backend languages such as Java, TypeScript, Node.js or Golang
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling
