Engineering Manager / Technical Lead, GDP / Information Services Program (ISP)

About the role

Lead a cross-functional engineering team building shared government digital platforms. Own the technical direction and delivery, balancing long-term platform investments with rapid product delivery. Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards. Work with Product, Design, and other Engineering Leaders to build reliable, secure, and scalable platforms used across the Singapore Government.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience engineering, scaling, and delivering production-grade web applications, with a heavy emphasis on robust backend systems
• Demonstrated experience operating as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager within an agile environment
• Strong production-tested expertise in Node.js and TypeScript / Go
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), container technologies (Docker), and establishing or operating modern CI/CD pipelines
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including automated testing, system design, and architectural reviews
• Strong hands-on experience building web applications and robust APIs using React or Next.js
