About the role
You will work hands-on with the robots that keep a major semiconductor site running, supporting delivery, picking and loading across multiple zones. The fleet includes autonomous mobile robots, collaborative robots and other automation platforms, and you will help keep them available and reliable. This role suits someone starting out in robotics and automation who likes working with real machines and learning quickly.
What you'll do
Operate and support the robotics and automation fleet, including autonomous mobile robots, CoBOTs and related platforms, for material handling, picking and loading across Probe, Fab, Smart Warehouse, bridges and supporting facilities.
Act as the robotics point-of-contact for your shift, monitoring operations, publishing shift announcements, handling escalations and giving clear passdowns.
Monitor jobs and missions from start to completion, communicate delays to requestors, and arrange recovery, re-delivery or manual handling following site procedures.
Troubleshoot and recover faulted robots by diagnosing mechanical, electrical and software issues, performing safe recovery and manual override, restoring equipment to a safe state, escalating urgent issues and logging incidents.
Drive Total Productive Maintenance by carrying out autonomous and planned maintenance routines, daily equipment checks, monitoring component health and wear-part lifespans, managing spares replenishment and filing maintenance evidence.
Support continuous improvement under TPM by analysing breakdown and error paretos, identifying recurring loss sources and proposing practical countermeasures to reduce manual intervention and improve availability, throughput and success rate.
Use agentic AI tools daily for fault diagnosis, error management and automated data collection, validating AI-generated recommendations before acting and escalating to engineers when situations fall outside the playbook.
Champion safety by complying with ESH, LOTO and risk assessment requirements, maintaining safe zones and clearances at pick-up, drop-off and staging areas, and upholding housekeeping standards in shared human-robot environments.
Maintain operational readiness across all zones, including maps, routes, waypoints, staging and transition points, docking and charging positions, connectivity checks, and fixture or gripper setup for CoBOT stations.
Support deployment and commissioning of new robotic solutions by assisting engineers with installation, trials, acceptance testing and rollout of new routes, stations and workflows across F10.
Maintain documentation and training records such as maintenance logs, incident reports and R&A/OJT evidence, and coach users on collection windows, drop-point clearance and contingency flows.
Good to know
Rotating shift pattern including nights and weekends to support 24/7 operations.
Training includes Micron’s AI learning pathways to attain foundational AI proficiency.

Requirements
Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Fresh graduates welcome; exposure to mobile robots, collaborative robots or automated equipment in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing is an advantage.
Hands-on and practical, comfortable with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, hand tools and working around moving equipment.
Understanding of maintenance fundamentals; prior exposure to TPM or preventive maintenance is a plus.
Open to using AI tools daily and able to attain foundational AI proficiency through company learning pathways; prior AI-assisted diagnostics exposure is an advantage but not required.
Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow and improve standard operating procedures.
