Facility Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

You will help keep building infrastructure and support systems running safely and reliably at a data centre. Duties include doing preventive maintenance checks, routine repairs, installations, and monitoring the Building Management System to respond to alarms. You will support troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and safety systems. You will also coordinate with contractors, follow work permits and safety procedures, and keep site logs and documentation updated. You will complete work orders and assist senior engineers with facility upgrades and incident response.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Internship experience or 1+ years hands-on experience maintaining electrical or mechanical equipment
• Experience in facilities such as hospitals, commercial buildings, shopping malls, manufacturing facilities, airports, industrial plants or facilities management environments
• Strong interest in troubleshooting and fixing equipment issues
• Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment
• Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays
