About the role
You will be part of the Fitness Club team at Marina Bay Sands, welcoming members and guests and keeping the fitness centre running smoothly. This role suits someone energetic who enjoys guest contact and is comfortable in a fast-paced luxury setting.
What you'll do
Greet guests warmly on arrival and give them a friendly send-off when they leave
Make prompt, courteous eye contact and smile with every guest
Move around the gym and club area to introduce fitness services and facilities
Bring guests water and towels whenever they need them
Help guests connect with Personal Trainers when requested
Respond to guest feedback and take timely action to improve their experience
Cover the team during breaks and busy periods
Recommend and promote Personal Training and wellness programmes, then follow up on bookings for guests
Join daily briefings to keep up with fitness activities and property updates
Uphold the company values and mission at all times
Stay friendly, courteous and professional with guests, patrons and colleagues
Build good working relationships and take a can-do approach to tasks
Keep up to date with the fitness centre, property events and happenings in town
Learn more about fitness, yoga and other wellness activities
Handle cashiering duties following hotel accounting procedures
Keep the fitness centre and surrounding areas clean and tidy
Check changing rooms so facilities are clean and in working order
Restock amenities, clean towels and linen, and clear away soiled items
Collect fresh linen from the laundry and send soiled linen down
Guide guests and perform basic operations on cardio and strength equipment when needed
Open and close the fitness centre at times set by management
Take on other similar duties as requested by the Fitness Centre Manager or Management
Good to know
Shift work is required, including weekends and public holidays
The role is based at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore
Requirements
Secondary education preferred
Prior experience in a professional environment
Customer service, hospitality, tourism or service industry experience is an advantage
Strong spoken and written English
High standard of personal grooming and professional appearance
Energetic and engaging with strong customer service and interpersonal skills
