About the role
This role provides electrical engineering expertise and technical support for facility systems across manufacturing sites in your region. You will work with a global facilities team on construction project design, management, testing and commissioning, plus operations and maintenance programmes. It suits an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys leading cross-functional teams and aligning standards across sites.

Review and approve capital expenditure for site capacity expansion and sustainability projects
Assess and make business-driven decisions on capital expenditure for facilities reliability improvement projects
Give engineering support for site system improvement projects such as reliability improvements, quality improvements and end-of-life equipment replacements
Oversee regional efforts and spot opportunities to align strategic programmes like business continuity plans, critical specifications and quality defence lines
Provide engineering support for major SIPP reviews
Share lessons learned from regional events and help influence global standards development
Act as single point of contact for regional sites and central global facilities teams
Align on metrics reporting
Maintain expert understanding of each site's electrical systems operations and maintenance capabilities to offer critical support
Provide site and regional support for global facility initiatives
Technically lead a global cross-functional team focused on project, design, construction and operational excellence alongside site electrical systems engineers
Support all sites, including on-site presence for construction projects and critical electrical failures
Take an active role in TPM implementation and alignment, plus ongoing support for electrical systems
Drive quality improvement in utilities through variation reduction using SPC
Drive alignment on common methodologies including SPC, conformance, SIPPs, MOC and 8D problem solving across the network for electrical systems
Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimising and reducing energy usage for electrical systems network-wide
Assess and ensure effective, consistent preventive and predictive maintenance programmes, procedures and checklists across the network
Communicate regularly with site engineering and O&M teams on status and performance
Analyse and benchmark equipment performance
Identify and develop training and certification programmes that support global and site efforts
Develop appropriate metrics to drive improvement, such as on-time PMs, MTTF and MTTR
Send regular updates with key focus items and initiatives

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in electrical systems within the semiconductor industry
Proven experience in construction design, development and engineering for electrical systems, with hands-on project execution
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Excellent teamwork and collaboration with internal and external groups
