About the role

This role is based at The Singapore EDITION on Cuscaden Road, where you will be the first point of contact for guests at the front desk. You will handle arrivals, departures and enquiries while keeping payments and records accurate. It suits someone who enjoys face-to-face guest contact and is comfortable on their feet for long stretches.

Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, including reservations, requests, changes and cancellations
Take payment, verify billing details and make adjustments
Issue and file room keys
Handle guest requests and pass on messages
Print contingency lists so all guests are accounted for in an emergency
Explain room features and give guests directions plus information on property amenities, services, opening hours and nearby places of interest
Follow up on outstanding requests or problems carried over from the previous day until resolved
Run and review daily reports and logs
Complete cashier and closing reports in the computer system
Record wake-up call requests and pass them to the right department
Count and secure the cash bank at the start and end of each shift
Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers and miscellaneous charges, and give change
Tell Loss Prevention or Security about any guest reports of theft
Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager, keep uniform and appearance clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Welcome guests to company standards, anticipate and address their needs, assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests sincerely
Communicate clearly and professionally and answer the telephone with proper etiquette
Build positive working relationships and support the team in reaching shared goals
Meet quality assurance expectations and standards
Stand, sit or walk for extended periods and move, lift, carry, push, pull or place objects of up to 10 pounds without help
Carry out other reasonable duties as asked by supervisors
