About the role
This is a senior leadership role heading the Case Management Unit at a psychiatric hospital in Singapore. You will set strategic direction for the unit, oversee clinical service quality, and manage people, budgets and improvement projects. It suits an experienced clinical leader from psychology, nursing, social work or counselling who is ready to drive transformation in mental health care.
What you'll do
Set the unit's strategic plans so they align with the hospital's goals and Allied Health direction
Create, roll out and review departmental policies, procedures and clinical practice standards
Lead reviews of clinical service delivery models, bringing in evidence-based and innovative approaches
Track departmental KPIs such as clinical outcomes, service quality and operational targets
Keep up to date with case management developments and propose new services or treatment approaches
Handle recruitment, manpower planning and retention to keep staffing levels and skills mix right
Supervise, guide and appraise Case Managers, Case Trackers and admin support staff
Run succession planning and develop future leaders while ensuring knowledge transfer
Build a learning culture through education programmes, in-service training and continuing professional development
Deploy staff across clinical areas to maximise productivity, efficiency and care quality
Champion the organisation's cultural beliefs and staff engagement efforts
Set service standards, study customer needs and improve workflows for continuous improvement
Lead quality systems such as patient safety programmes, clinical governance and compliance with ESS standards
Oversee Enterprise Risk Management and business continuity plan implementation
Monitor clinical practices using patient feedback, outcome measures and performance data
Respond to clinical complaints and feedback, putting in place corrective and preventive actions
Develop multi-disciplinary care through better inter-departmental coordination
Work with operations teams on forecasting, preparing and justifying operational and capital budgets
Review departmental budgets, monitor variances and drive cost-effective use of resources
Plan resource development and allocation across equipment, facilities and manpower
Develop quality improvement projects that advance clinical practice and evidence-based care
Create education and training materials for students, medical staff, nurses and other professionals
Identify staff learning needs and facilitate professional development
Represent the department on committees, at conferences and with external professional bodies

Requirements
Strong leadership and change management skills
