You will supervise cleanliness standards at Hotel Stripes Singapore Chinatown Autograph Collection, checking rooms and shared spaces after the housekeeping team has finished. The role involves coordinating with several departments and supporting housekeeping management with daily operations. What you'll do

Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to confirm quality standards
Run sold room reports and verify room status
Identify discrepant rooms and set priorities for cleaning
Update the status of departing guest rooms
Help housekeeping management with daily activities
Coordinate between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry
Document and settle discrepant room issues together with the Front Desk
Prepare, distribute and communicate changes to room assignments
Pass on issues to the next shift and complete required paperwork
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching staff
Follow company safety and security policies, and report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents or injuries
Complete safety training and certifications
Keep uniform and personal appearance clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests
Communicate clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships
Handle objects up to 55 pounds alone and heavier items with help
Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other equipment over sloping or uneven surfaces
Reach overhead and below the knees, and bend, twist, pull and stoop
Stand, sit, kneel or walk for long stretches across a whole shift
Grasp and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights
Enter and find work information using computers or point of sale systems
Read and visually check information in various formats, including small print
Carry out other reasonable duties as asked by supervisors

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Able to move, lift and carry objects up to 55 pounds without help, and heavier with assistance
Able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
