About the role
This is a 15-month structured on-the-job trainee programme with GSK at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Singapore near Jurong. You'll build hands-on instrumentation and maintenance experience while being mentored by experienced professionals. It suits fresh graduates and mid-career individuals keen on a career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
What you'll do
Carry out implementation activities for plant modifications, capital projects and plant improvement projects according to defined specifications, budget and qualification of facilities, following approved site procedures.
Lead troubleshooting in instrumentation and drive continuous improvements to the process plant.

Maintain site equipment and facilities to a high GMP standard so the site is always inspection ready.
Apply continuous improvement to 5S and optimise maintenance and calibration activities, frequencies and efficiency.
Provide input to project teams on capital projects and develop and implement maintenance plans for newly installed equipment.
Provide site inputs to the development of Engineering Standards (ES) and Engineering Policy (EP).
Monitor and enforce compliance measures, including safety, within your discipline to ensure plant inspection readiness, and take part as an audit team member during audits.
Supervise, develop and motivate technicians to help them reach their potential and contribute to departmental objectives.
Contribute to developing the section's annual operating budget to meet operational targets.
Plan and implement plant maintenance, manage engineering resources during plant turnaround and resolve breakdowns promptly, including engaging external assistance.
Support development of the facility master plan to ensure compliance with engineering standards, management of obsolescence and asset replacement.
Support customer complaints and deviation investigations and ensure relevant engineering corrective actions are completed within agreed timelines.
Prepare and issue Engineering Technical Reports and provide input to Periodic Reviews and Annual Validation Reports for timely completion.
Manage the site computerised maintenance system and its data and records so information is accurate and inspection ready, and provide reports used for maintenance decisions.
