About the role

An internship with a corporate finance team in Singapore, focused on finance transformation, process governance, shared service centre oversight, data analytics, automation and AI. It suits students who want to combine finance with analytics, governance and technology to solve real business problems. Assignments depend on business priorities, project availability and operational needs, so you may cover only some of the areas below.

What you'll do

Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end finance activities
Help prepare, review and analyse financial information and management reports
Support accounting processes and financial reporting
Carry out data extraction, reconciliations and validation

Help document finance processes, workflows and standard operating procedures

Take part in designing and implementing automation and AI-enabled finance solutions

Review processes to spot inefficiencies, manual work and digitalisation opportunities

Help build dashboards, analytical tools and automation solutions

Analyse data to find policy non-compliance, control exceptions and unusual transaction patterns

Support monitoring through review of transactional data and key risk indicators

Help develop management reports and dashboards on compliance, operational performance and process effectiveness

Support review and validation of work done by the Shared Service Centre for completeness, accuracy and compliance

Perform quality checks on SSC deliverables before final approval by process owners or team leads

Help review Master Data Management requests by validating documentation, data accuracy and governance compliance

Identify exceptions, recurring issues and process gaps, and escalate them to stakeholders

Work with stakeholders on operational and transformation initiatives

Gather business requirements, document feedback and support implementation of improvement projects

Prepare analysis papers, presentations and management updates

Full-time internship based in Singapore
You will gain exposure to Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes, financial reporting and reconciliations
Exposure to data analytics, management dashboards, AI tools and workflow automation projects
Exposure to shared services governance, quality assurance reviews and control monitoring
Exposure to finance policies, internal controls, risk monitoring and audit support
Development of stakeholder management, problem-solving, business communication and project management skills

Requirements

Student with an interest in finance, data analytics, governance, shared services, automation and AI
Willing to work on assignments that may change with business priorities and project availability
