About the role

This internship sits with the CX Event Managers team at Marina Bay Sands, acting as the link between clients and internal departments or vendors from signed contract through to event wrap-up. You will help the event managers improve the experience for clients and delegates using the Centre. It suits a full-time matriculated student who needs the internship for graduation and enjoys a busy, guest-facing environment.

What you'll do

Work with Event Business Management Software (EBMS)
Work with the Point of Sale (POS) system
Use Service Now for online business processes and documents, such as finance debit/credit requests and carpark requests
Produce Event Summary and WSH reports on the Event Portal
Generate and send out Banquet Event Orders (BEO), change orders and group resumes
Coordinate with the technical team on Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) for floorplans
Prepare proforma invoices for upsell orders and services
Liaise with Group Reservations, Credit, Meeting Services, Banquets and external vendors
Follow up on organiser requests with CX Managers and related departments so they are completed on time and thoroughly, as directed by the Supervisory Manager
Attend scheduled departmental meetings and daily briefings
Provide administrative support to CX Managers, including written correspondence and office tasks
Suggest ideas to improve work processes within the department and other departments
Interpret guest needs and make sure they are met with satisfaction
Take minutes
