About the role

This role sits with an insurance group in Singapore and focuses on keeping the company's cybersecurity controls strong. You will work alongside the IT Assurance lead, reviewing technical controls and making sure they line up with internal policies and financial sector rules. It suits someone with a security or IT background who is comfortable with access management, system hardening and firewall reviews.

What you'll do

Take ownership of the Identity and Access Management system, help onboard applications and support day-to-day operations
Run company-wide user and privileged access reviews each year and half-year, then remediate issues found
Propose and put in place extra controls to reduce access-related risk
Plan, prepare and carry out annual baseline configuration and firewall rule review exercises

Act as the link between business and IT teams so baseline configuration and firewall reviews are coordinated

Make sure IT risk and security controls are implemented and closed out on time in line with business plans, policies and regulations

Pull together and supply evidence for internal, external and regulatory IT audits

Keep IT operations aligned with the group's IT security standards and MAS and PDPC guidelines

Suggest and deliver automation and continuous improvement for daily operations

Good to know

Full-time position based in Singapore
Diploma or degree in IT, computer science or equivalent is required
Financial industry experience and security certifications such as SSCP, CompTIA Security+ or CEH are preferred

Requirements

Diploma or degree in IT, computer science or equivalent
Basic grasp of cybersecurity, IT networking, Windows OS and troubleshooting
Awareness of common exploits, vulnerabilities, system hardening and firewall rules
Hands-on experience with security tools such as Active Directory, LDAP, EDR, antivirus, WAF, proxy, firewall, DLP, SIEM and vulnerability management
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001
